Things are Popping

Peter —  January 22, 2011

As my Cor Deo colleague, Ron, wrote to me this week  . . . things are popping!  I suppose the heat has been under the corn for a while, but right now it is all happening.  In the past couple of weeks we have had Ron’s visa confirmed and received (big answer to prayer!), one of the participants has received his visa (and got engaged), I have been chasing items needed for the study room, accommodation for Ron is confirmed, we have a Cor Deo vehicle, the team is essentially finalized for this year (one person who has been in the works for a couple of months could still join us or not join us for this year), and on it goes.  At this point the only real outstanding need is to figure out a place for three participants to live in within walking distance of the church.  Thank you for praying for us.  If you are not receiving the Cor Deo updates, please click here and you will be able to follow the ministry with brief updates in the coming months.  On this site we will continue to provide periodic ministry updates and family news, but to keep your finger on the pulse of our ministry in the coming months, please also sign up for those updates.

Tomorrow I am preaching at Ladyfield again.  It is such a privilege to be able to preach eight messages about the Bible – what a subject!  Tomorrow we are thinking about applying the Bible to our lives and not being hearers only.  Important stuff.  Today I am taking the children over to my parents this morning to give Melanie a break (and enjoy some scalextric action), then this afternoon we are all going to visit friends from church.  A nice full day off!
