One of the series I like is the Rachel Yoder series written by Wanda Brunstetter. They are set in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in an Amish community.
Rachel is girl that has the habit of getting into trouble. From ruining a pie to organizing a caterpillar race the Rachel books will keep you laughing from start to finish.
I like the series because they are so funny and because Rachel always manages to get out of trouble. I would recommend this series for ages 8 and up.
