Mixed Ministries

Just a quick note in the midst of a busy few days to ask for prayer.  Sorry for radio silence in the past few weeks, sometime we need to get pictures of Joel’s birthday online, but for now, just a quick prayer update.

Amy (Melanie’s sister) and her youngest Elly are here for a few days … a big treat for everyone!  There is lots of laughter in the house and the time is going too quickly.  Meanwhile, I am keeping busy.

Thursday I was able to go and speak to the Christian Union at Royal Holloway near London.  A good friend of ours, Bronte, is studying there and I was able to finish up their term with the final session in a series from John’s Gospel.  It was a good time and it is exciting to see people coming from Carol Concerts into regular contact with the gospel via the CU.  Please pray for people to meet Jesus in the universities this next week.

Friday I was able to hear Mariah and Aliyah perform at their piano recital before rushing home for a radio interview on the Janet Mefferd show.  If you want to hear it, jump to twenty minutes into the program – here’s the link.  I have another interview coming up, again about the book, on the Janet Parshall show (15th Dec.)

Tomorrow I will be finishing up our series at Trinity Chippenham.  The series has been called The Jesus Trailers and we have been enjoying just some of the anticipations of Christ in the book of Isaiah.  Tomorrow I wrap it up with Isaiah 61.  You can hear the messages on the church website – www.trinitychippenham.org

Tuesday I will be flying over to Rome for a two-day training session with a group of preachers that I have been working with via webinars.  It will be good to be together for a couple of days since face-to-face is so much better for learning and growing.  Please pray for safe travel.

Next Sunday is our Community Carol Service at Trinity Chippenham.  I will be speaking, but there are lots of others participating too.  We distributed almost 1000 invitations to houses in the area.  Please pray for a good number of visitors and some good connections.

Lots going on, thanks for praying for us, we so appreciate it!
