I feel like the alarm was very early this morning! After a good time with our housegroup last night, I’m up early and hitting the road for Birmingham. I can’t believe I’ve been in the UK with OM for seven years and this is my first trip to OM Lifehope. They’ve asked me to come and speak at a two-day retreat they are having, beginning this morning. I have five sessions in which my plan is to consider the relational community nature of the Gospel, laying a foundation via considering the Gospel and the Trinity, then chasing into the complexities of conflicted relationships in Christian community. Hopefully it will be a good couple of days.
Then this weekend I am up in the Forest of Dean for a seminar on Saturday and preaching on Sunday. Thanks for praying for these busy bursts of ministry to be helpful and worthwhile beyond what we can see now. Melanie and the children are carrying on with school for the next two days (which is harder work than mine, so please pray for them too!)
