Well, the heat wave has definitely taken hold here in Great Britain! I hear we are not supposed to have a drop of rain for the rest of July. The residents of the UK hardly know what to do with themselves . . . well, actually, most of us are enjoying it to the full! BBQs, paddling pools, open top cars (not us of course, ha!) and soaking up those rays and vitamin D that we miss so much of the year. The sun reminds of me of our gracious God whose love and warmth streams out from Himself to His children, warming our hearts and bringing us joy. We are extra privileged as the sunshine has coincided with our weeks’ holiday. We leave tomorrow night for Somerset, with my parents, who arrived yesterday. Please pray we stay healthy as there are lots of nasty bugs flying around and also pray we can have some lovely times of family bonding. Today is packing day and also we plan on having a BBQ with my parents and Peter’s parents so they can spend some time together. Peter is preaching twice at church tomorrow (a.m. and p.m.) so he’d really appreciate prayer for God to use Him and work in the hearts that listen. There will probably be visitors there in the morning as its a Sunday School prize giving service.
It’s been awhile since we posted family photos. Here are a few from the past few weeks.

We had a meal where all the kids ate their dinner using strange utensils. Not sure how much Joel ate, but he sure had fun with the garlic press!

Looking back through our recent photos, I realized we’ve been having lots of fun with wrestling and stunts!

Courtesy of Tesco vouchers, we all went to Longleat Safari Park with my aunt. Kaylah enjoyed a front row seat to see all the animals.

We took a boat ride on Lake Coniston too . . again, just dodging the rain drops. (this was before the heat wave arrived)

As soon as we arrived back home, the heat wave started. Kaylah’s logic . . . where there is water, I might as well drink!
