Christmas has come and gone again. It was a very special celebration this year for us. We all loved having a baby in the house again! Kaylah is such a sweet baby and she brings us so much joy. We are so thankful for her! It was also special to have my Aunt Carol with us for Christmas this year. Believe it or not, I cut down the number of photos that I wanted to put in this post by about half . . . Forgive us if a lot of the photos are of one certain baby girl. We are all smitten by her!
We had a little photo shoot with Kaylah in front of the tree …I couldn’t decide which photo I liked best!

Kaylah really enjoyed playing around with the baubles from the tree . . . of course supervised by other Meadlings!

Kaylah is taking after her siblings . . . she loves books!

Hmmm . . . I think that popcorn and cranberry garland looks edible . . .

It’s a Christmas tradition in the Mead house to make and decorate Christmas cookies to share with friends.

Mariah wrote a little Christmas play with Aunt Carol and the children performed it for Peter and I, plus Grandma and Grandpa Mead. Here are “Mary and Joseph.”

We all laughed so hard when the doll (ie baby Jesus!) couldn’t be located and they grabbed a stuffed monkey to use in its place! Mariah continued the comedy by getting a banana to feed it instead of a bottle. 🙂

Aunt Carol even got into the action and played a shepherd . . . note the extremely frightened shepherds with her when the angel appeared!

We opened presents with Grandma and Grandpa early as they were going to Norwich for Christmas. Here is Joel proudly wearing his new police hat!

Here is Kaylah on Christmas Eve . . .we always open a few presents . . .she was very determined, not just to put the paper in her mouth, but to chew and swallow it. Don’t we feed you enough, Kaylah?! 😉

Hannah decided to wear the Christmas decorations, instead of putting them back in the loft!
All in all, it was a great Christmas. We are thankful for the fun times we had and we are excited to see what God has for us in 2013! We start back to homeschooling tomorrow morning and we are excited about the Cor Deo intensive (starts the 14th) and also the fulltime programme starting (22nd). Please pray for us as there are many details that need to come together, especially David and Erin’s Searight’s visas which have not been sent back to them yet. Pray for them as they pack up and hopefully move across the pond in time for the start of the full-time programme. As always, we’d appreciate prayer for our marriage and family to be strong and godly so we can serve others well.
