Our sweet second daughter has turned ten years old! Birthday season is continuing with lots of festivities. Here are some photos from her celebrations:
- Aliyah requested a cake in the shape of an ice cream cone.
- Aunt Carol made her a special photo book about her first decade of life.
- Peter and I took Aliyah to the science museum in Bristol for her special outing. Here she’s trying to pump as fast as a human heart does.
- And having fun lmaking huge soap bubbles!
- Shooting a ball into the air with a powerful fan
- Aliyah can often be found lovingly taking care of Kaylah.
- Making Valentine cookies . . . Kaylah “helped” by eating pieces of cookie dough 🙂
- Here are some of the decorated cookies!
- Miss Kaylah continues to grow and develop
- Almost always cheerful!
- Joel is good at reading her stories and she is turning into a baby Meadling bookworm.
- Big brothers are also good for having crazy fun with little sisters!
We have enjoyed some fantastic sunshiney days recently. Spring just MIGHT be around the corner!? It has been a delight to see the snowdrops poking their heads through the ground after a long winter. After extra swimming lessons, church holiday club, etc. during half-term, we are back to schoolwork this week. However, we are anticipating a few special events as it’s Mariah’s turn for a birthday! Prayer requests for me this week: patience and wisdom for me as I homeschool and parent, joy and peace (ie freedom from tension and sibling rivalry!) for all of us as we work together and serve others around us. Peter is back to Cor Deo tomorrow . . . continue to pray for life change for all involved (mentors and mentees). Then he is off to London this weekend for a student event. I very rarely am able to go out for a day, but I am going with some friends to a conference on Saturday so I would appreciate prayer that I won’t get a migraine that day and that I’ll get good rest the night before. The day is focused on learning how to biblically help hurting people. Please would you pray for good rest and sleep for Peter and I this week and over the busier weekend. We are both really tired at the moment and for one reason or another are having a hard time getting enough sleep lately. We feel the need for your prayers as we serve Him . . . each day presents challenges and we long to walk closely with Christ. Apart from Him we can do nothing!
